規則 1：可數名詞用複數（最常見、最重要）
先講最基本、也是最常用的規則：當 No 後面接的是可數名詞時，要用複數形式。
為什麼？因為「No 用法」的核心意思是「零個、沒有」，而零在英文的概念裡是複數。就像你說 “zero dogs”（零隻狗）不會說 “zero dog” 一樣，No 也是同樣的邏輯。
可數名詞 = 可以數的東西，比如：狗、椅子、人、車、書。這些東西可以有一個、兩個、三個…，所以當你說「沒有」的時候，就是「零個」，要用複數。
(1) There are no empty chairs left.
沒有空椅子了。（chairs 是複數）
(2) No dogs are allowed in this park.
狗隻不准進入這個公園。（dogs 是複數）

(6) No tickets are available for tonight’s show.
今晚的表演沒有票了。（tickets 是複數）
(7) I have no friends in this city.
我在這個城市沒有朋友。（friends 是複數）
常見錯誤：
- ❌ No dog is allowed.（除非是特殊強調，一般不這樣用）
- ✅ No dogs are allowed.（正確）
規則 2：不可數名詞照用（沒有單複數問題）
第二個規則超簡單：當 No 後面接的是不可數名詞時，就直接用原形，因為不可數名詞本來就沒有複數。
不可數名詞 = 不能數的東西，比如：水、錢、資訊、建議、音樂。這些東西不能說「一個水」、「兩個錢」，所以也沒有單數複數的問題。
台灣人最容易錯的就是把不可數名詞加 s，像是 moneys、informations、advices，這些都是錯的！不可數名詞永遠不加 s。

(14) We have no furniture in the new apartment yet.
我們的新公寓還沒有家具。（furniture 是不可數）
常見錯誤：
- ❌ No moneys（錯！money 是不可數，不能加 s）
- ✅ No money（正確）
- ❌ No informations（錯！information 是不可數）
- ✅ No information（正確）
規則 3：特殊情況用單數（例外情況）
好，前面兩個規則都很直白對吧？現在來講例外。有些時候，No 後面的可數名詞要用單數，主要有兩種情況：
情況 A：通常只有一個的東西
有些東西對大部分人來說，通常不會同時有多個。比如：丈夫、妻子、車（對一般人來說）。當要表示「沒有」這些東西的時候，用單數會比較自然。
(15) My uncle has no wife.
我的叔叔沒有太太。（wife 用單數，因為一個人通常只有一個太太）
(16) She has no husband.
她沒有丈夫。（husband 用單數）
(17) Mary has no car.
Mary 沒有車。（car 用單數，假設 Mary 是那種不會同時擁有多台車的人）
(18) He has no job right now.
他現在沒有工作。（job 用單數，一個人通常同時只有一份工作）
注意： 這個規則比較彈性，要看上下文。如果你覺得某人可能有多個，也可以用複數。比如有錢人可能有很多車，那就可以說 “He has no cars”。
情況 B：強調「絕對沒有」的語氣
有時候為了強調「絕對沒有、一點都沒有」的語氣，會用單數名詞。這種用法比較文學、比較正式。

No 和其他否定詞的比較
很多人會把 No 跟其他否定詞搞混，來看看差別：

意思差不多，但 No 比較簡潔、語氣比較強。
(22) No dogs are allowed. = There aren’t any dogs allowed.
不准有狗。（No 比較直接）
(23) I have no money. = I don’t have any money.
我沒錢。（意思一樣，No 比較簡潔）
No vs None
- No + 名詞（No money）
- None = 單獨使用，不接名詞（None of the students）

常見錯誤和考試陷阱
最後來看幾個大家最容易錯的地方，考試超愛考這種！
錯誤 1：動詞的單複數不配合
這個超經典！很多人會寫 “No dogs is allowed”，錯在哪？主詞是 dogs（複數），所以動詞要用 are，不是 is。
- ❌ No dogs is allowed.（錯！主詞是複數 dogs）
- ✅ No dogs are allowed.（正確）
很多人會寫 “No dogs is allowed”，這是因為沒注意到主詞是複數。英文的主詞動詞一致（Subject-Verb Agreement）很重要，寫錯會很明顯。
錯誤 2：不可數名詞加 s
台灣人最愛犯的錯誤之一，把不可數名詞當可數用。
- ❌ No moneys are left.（錯！money 不可數）
- ✅ No money is left.（正確）

解析：No + 複數名詞 students

解析：No + 不可數名詞 milk
搞定了嗎？其實規則沒有很複雜對吧。記住三個核心原則：
- 可數名詞用複數 → No dogs, No chairs, No questions
- 不可數名詞照用 → No money, No water, No information
- 特殊情況用單數 → 通常只有一個的東西（No wife）、強調語氣（No man is an island）
最重要的是第一個規則，因為 80% 的情況都是用複數。只要記住「No = 零個 = 複數」，基本上就不會錯了。不可數名詞本來就沒有複數的問題，更簡單。至於特殊情況的單數用法，知道有這回事就好，遇到的時候認得出來就可以了。
