在電梯或走廊遇到鄰居，除了「Hi」還能說什麼？其實鄰居打招呼英文有一套固定的模式，從基本問候、自我介紹到閒聊話題都有規則可循。這篇整理老外最常用的說法，讓你跟外國鄰居互動不再只剩尷尬點頭，自然建立起友好關係。
基本打招呼：不只是 Hi 和 Hello
遇到鄰居時，最基本的就是打招呼。但如果每次都只說「Hi」，會顯得有點冷淡或不友善。想用英文打招呼，其實有很多比「Hi」更自然、更友善的說法：

第一次見面：自我介紹
如果是新搬來或第一次遇到鄰居，初次見面打招呼英文通常會多加一句簡單的自我介紹：

常見錯誤要避免
錯誤 1：太快問太私人的問題
不要：第一次見面就問：How much do you pay for rent?
可以：先從輕鬆話題開始，建立關係後再談比較私人的話題
錯誤 2：在走廊或電梯聊太久
不要：在電梯裡開始長篇大論
可以：保持簡短，如果想聊久一點可以說：Want to grab coffee sometime?
錯誤 3：抱怨時態度太強硬
不要：Your music is too loud! You need to turn it down!
可以：I hope you don’t mind, but the music was a bit loud last night. Would you mind keeping it down?
錯誤 4：完全不打招呼或互動
不要：每次遇到都低頭滑手機假裝沒看到
可以：至少點頭微笑或說聲 Hi，這是基本禮貌
