身邊有沒有那種人：一開口就覺得自己最懂、講話帶著一種「你不行我來」的感覺、或是永遠要在最後補一句否定你的話？這種人在中文叫「自以為是」或「大頭症」!「自以為是」英文有很多說法，一起來看看吧。
覺得自己什麼都懂的說法
這類型的人特徵就是：永遠要糾正你、一定要搶最後一句話、就算不懂也裝懂。
Think they know best — 覺得自己最有道理，別人說什麼都是錯的
Always have to have the last word — 什麼事都要說最後一句，不說完不甘心
Act like a know-it-all — 一副什麼都懂的樣子，但其實只是愛說話

A: 你有跟他說你的想法嗎？
B: I tried, but he just shot it down. He always thinks he knows best.
B: 試了，但他直接否定。他就是覺得自己最懂。

B: Because Jake always has to have the last word. Even when everyone agrees, he still adds something.

自我感覺良好、太把自己當回事
這類是那種隱隱覺得自己比別人高一等的人——說話方式、態度、反應都透露出「我比你好」。
Be full of themselves — 太過以自我為中心，整個人充滿自我感覺良好的氣息
Think they’re God’s gift — 覺得自己是老天爺特別送來的禮物，全世界都應該感謝有他
Have a very high opinion of themselves — 對自己評價極高，高到有點脫離現實
自我感覺良好英文最口語的說法就是 full of themselves，說起來很自然，帶著一點嘲諷但不算太衝。

A: 你為什麼不喜歡新來的那個人？
B: He’s just so full of himself. He walked in on day one acting like he already runs the place.
B: 他真的超自我感覺良好。第一天就走進來一副他已經是老大的樣子。

B: Yeah. She thinks she’s God’s gift. Nothing is ever good enough for her.

B: Yeah, he has a very high opinion of himself. Talking to regular people is probably beneath him.

B: Seriously? She’s so full of herself. Three other people worked just as hard.

態度傲慢、不把別人放眼裡
這類人不只是自我感覺良好，還會主動表現出輕視別人的態度，讓人在他們面前感覺很不舒服。說自以為是英文的時候，這類說法語氣最重，帶有明顯的批評意味。
Look down on others — 瞧不起別人，覺得他人低人一等
Talk down to someone — 跟某人說話的語氣像在對小孩說話，帶著一種優越感
Act like they own the place — 走進一個地方就一副自己是老闆的樣子
Think they’re above everyone else — 覺得自己超越所有人，一般規則不適用於他

B: That’s such a narrow way of thinking. It says more about him than anyone else.

幾個常用單字補充
用片語說「自以為是」最道地，但這幾個單字也很好用，各有一點語感差別：
Arrogant – 覺得自己很厲害、別人都不怎樣
Cocky — 太有自信到有點討人厭，常用在年輕人或剛有點成就就翹尾巴的人，語氣比較輕
Conceited — 自負、自滿，比 cocky 稍正式，重點在對自己外表或才能的過度自我欣賞
Condescending — 帶有優越感地對待別人，就是那種 talk down to someone 的人格描述

A: 他很有才，但也因為這樣太傲慢了。
B: Right, that’s the worst combination.
B: 對，這是最難搞的組合。

下次遇到那種讓你翻白眼的人，除了在心裡罵一句，也可以用這些說法跟朋友聊。「He’s so full of himself」、「She always has to have the last word」——說出來比光是搖頭解氣多了。
