Pick up 是 pick 系列裡最常用、用法也最多的片語。它有超多意思，但核心概念都是「拿起、獲得」。
意思 1：撿起、拿起
最基本的意思就是把東西從地上或某個地方「拿起來」。

意思 2：接人（開車接）

Pick on 帶有明顯的負面意思，表示某人被不公平地對待、被霸凌。不是開玩笑，而是真的在欺負人。
很多人以為 pick on 是「選擇某人」的意思，結果說出「老師 pick on 我回答問題」，聽起來像是老師在霸凌你！正確應該用 “The teacher called on me”（老師叫我回答）或 “The teacher picked me”（老師選我）。
