中文的「雖然」和「即使」其實蠻好分，但英文偏偏用了幾個長相很像的連接詞來表達這些概念，還各有語感差異。even though 用法 是很多人學英文時跳過去、但其實偷偷在影響你英文自然度的一個點。這篇把 even though、even if、although、though 全部放在一起比較，一次搞清楚。
Even though — 說的是已經發生的事
Even though 中文是「雖然」，重點是：它後面接的一定是真實發生的事，不是假設。語感上帶有一點「出乎意料」或「轉折」的感覺，像是「雖然這樣，但結果不是你以為的那樣」。
結構很簡單：Even though + 已發生的事實，主句說「出乎意料的結果」。

A: Did you go to the gym this morning?
A: 你今天早上有去健身房嗎？
B: Yeah, even though I was exhausted, I still went.
B: 有啊，雖然我累到不行，我還是去了。
(2)
A: I heard the meeting ran super long.
A: 我聽說那個會議開很久。
B: It did. Even though we started at nine, we didn’t finish until three.
B: 對啊。雖然我們九點就開始了，但三點才結束。
(3) Even though the restaurant had bad reviews, the food was actually really good.
雖然那家餐廳評價不好，食物其實挺不錯的。

A: Why do you still work there if the pay isn’t great?
A: 如果薪水不好，你為什麼還留在那邊？
B: Even though the salary is low, I really like the team and the work itself.
B: 雖然薪水不高，但我真的很喜歡那個團隊和工作本身。
(5) She passed the exam even though she barely studied.
她幾乎沒怎麼念書，但她還是考過了。
Even if — 說的是還沒發生的假設
Even if 中文是「即使…也」，和 even though 最大的差別在於：它後面接的是「還沒發生的事」或「假設的情況」。語感像是：「就算那件事發生了，結果也一樣不會變」。
結構：Even if + 假設情況，主句說「不管怎樣，結果都是這樣」。
這個邏輯其實和 if 條件句很像，只是 even if 多了一個「就算那樣也沒用」的語氣，強調「結果不會改變」。

A: What if the client doesn’t like our proposal?
A: 如果客戶不喜歡我們的提案怎麼辦？
B: Even if they don’t, we can always revise it.
B: 即使他們不喜歡，我們還是可以修改。
(7) Even if I had more money, I wouldn’t buy that car.
即使我有更多錢，我也不會買那台車。

A: Do you think she’ll quit if she doesn’t get a raise?
A: 你覺得她如果沒加薪會辭職嗎？
B: Probably. Even if they give her a small raise, I don’t think she’ll stay.
B: 大概吧。即使他們給她小幅加薪，我覺得她也不會留下來。
(9) Even if you apologize, she might not forgive you right away.
即使你道歉，她也不一定馬上原諒你。

A: Are you going to the concert even if it rains?
A: 就算下雨你也要去演唱會嗎？
B: Absolutely. Even if there’s a typhoon, I’m still going.
B: 當然。即使颱風來了我也要去。
同樣的場景，換個連接詞意思差很多
用同一個情境對比，差別一眼就看出來了：
(11) Even though it was raining, we went out.
雖然在下雨（已發生），我們還是出門了。
→ 出門是真實發生的事，下雨也是。
(12) Even if it rains, we’ll still go out.
即使下雨（還沒下，不確定），我們還是會出門。
→ 在說未來的假設，還沒出門。

A: Did you end up going even though your mom said not to?
A: 你媽不讓你去，你還是去了嗎？
B: Yeah… even though she told me not to, I went anyway. But don’t tell her.
B: 對啊…雖然她叫我不要去，我還是去了。但別告訴她。
簡單記法：even though 是「已發生的轉折」，even if 是「假設的堅持」。
Although — 語感更中性的「雖然」
Although 用法 和 even though 很像，中文都是「雖然」，很多情況下可以互換，但語感稍微不同。Even though 帶有「出乎意料」或「強調對比」的感覺，although 用法 就比較中性，只是平靜地說明一個讓步關係，少了那種反差感。另外，although 正式程度稍高，在寫作或商業文件中很常見。

A: Did the project go smoothly?
A: 專案進行得順利嗎？
B: Although there were some delays, we delivered on time.
B: 雖然有一些延誤，我們還是準時交付了。
(15) Although she’s only 25, she already has a lot of experience.
雖然她才 25 歲，已經有很豐富的經驗了。

A: Is the new system easy to use?
A: 新系統好用嗎？
B: Although it took some getting used to, it’s actually quite efficient.
B: 雖然要花點時間適應，但其實蠻有效率的。
(17) 以下這兩句意思幾乎一樣，可以互換：
Even though I was nervous, I nailed the presentation.
Although I was nervous, I nailed the presentation.
雖然我很緊張，我的簡報報得很好。
→ 但如果你想強調「緊張但還是做到了」的對比感，even though 更有力道。
(18) Although the weather was bad, the event was a success.
雖然天氣不好，活動還是很成功。
Though — 最口語、最靈活的那個
Though 跟 although 意思一樣，但更口語，日常對話裡很常聽到。它有一個 even though 和 although 都做不到的技能：可以放在句尾，當作一個輕描淡寫的「不過…」，特別有語感。

A: How was the movie?
A: 電影怎麼樣？
B: Pretty good. A bit long, though.
B: 還不錯。不過有點長。
(20) Though I’m not a fan of spicy food, I really enjoyed that dish.
雖然我不愛辣，那道菜我真的很喜歡。
(21)
A: Did you like the new café?
A: 你喜歡那間新咖啡廳嗎？
B: The coffee was amazing. A little pricey, though.
B: 咖啡很棒。不過有點貴。
→ Though 放句尾時前面加逗號，語氣輕鬆自然，是口語英文的好用小技巧。
這樣用就錯了
三個台灣人最容易踩到的混用陷阱：
(22) 用 even if 說已發生的事：
❌ Even if I was tired, I still finished the report.
✅ Even though I was tired, I still finished the report.
雖然我很累，我還是把報告寫完了。
→「我很累」是已發生的事實，要用 even though。
(23) 把 although 放在句尾：
❌ The food was okay, although.
✅ The food was okay, though.
食物還可以，不過。
→ Although 不能放句尾，這個位置只有 though 可以用。
(24) 用 even though 說假設情況：
❌ Even though you study hard, you might still fail.
✅ Even if you study hard, you might still fail.
即使你很努力念書，還是有可能不及格。
→「你努力念書」是未來假設，不是已發生的事，要用 even if。
其實只要問自己一個問題：「這件事發生了嗎？」發生了就用 even though 或 although，還沒發生的假設就用 even if，想要最口語的版本就選 though。多看幾次例句，語感自然就會內化了。
