Regardless：不管怎樣、無論如何

Regardless 的意思是「不管怎樣」、「無論如何」、「不顧」。跟 but 比起來，regardless 給人的感覺更有力、更正式，而且帶有一種「我不管別的，就是要這樣」的堅定態度。
Regardless 用法強調的是「不受影響」、「堅持立場」，不管前面發生什麼事、有什麼狀況，後面的結論都不會改變。這種語感比單純用 but 轉折更強烈。

Regardless of + 名詞或名詞片語，意思是「不管…」、「無論…」。這個用法超常見，特別是在正式場合或 email 裡。
常見的搭配有 regardless of the cost（不計成本）、regardless of what happens（無論發生什麼）、regardless of the outcome（不管結果如何）、regardless of the weather（不管天氣如何）。基本上任何名詞後面都可以接。

這個字適合用在正式寫作、學術文章、商業報告這些場合。在日常對話裡用 nevertheless 會有點太正式，但在 email 或報告裡用就超專業。

什麼時候該用 nevertheless？主要是正式場合：正式 email（特別是商業往來）、報告和論文、商業提案、學術寫作。基本上任何需要聽起來專業、有份量的場合都可以用。
位置上，nevertheless 通常放在句首，後面用逗號隔開。也可以放在句中或句尾，但句首最常見也最自然。

最後是 nonetheless，這個字跟 nevertheless 幾乎一樣，只是稍微更正式一點點。
Nonetheless 的意思完全等於 nevertheless，都是「儘管如此」、「然而」。老實說，這兩個字可以互換使用，大部分人根本分不出差別。如果硬要說，nonetheless 可能稍微更正式一咪咪，但真的差異超小。
重點是，不管用 nevertheless 還是 nonetheless，都比 but 高級太多了。用在正式寫作或 email 裡，立刻讓你看起來很專業。
