形容人「很有禮貌」的英文說法不是只有 polite 一個字，英文裡的「有禮貌」有好幾種層次，從基本不失禮到真心體貼、到那種天生帶氣場的優雅，這篇整理了九個最實用的說法，每個語感都不太一樣。
Polite & Courteous：禮貌基本款
Polite 是學英文最早接觸到的「有禮貌」說法，意思就是「懂禮貌、說話有分寸、不讓人覺得失禮」，可以用在任何場合和任何人身上，是最通用的一個字。不管是有禮貌地拜託別人做事，還是在職場跟同事或客戶溝通，polite 都是有禮貌的英文說法裡最基本的一塊。
Courteous 跟 polite 意思接近，但多了一種「積極主動展現禮貌與尊重」的感覺，語氣也更正式，比較常出現在職場、客服或商務場合。如果說 polite 是及格線，courteous 就是多了一份用心和態度，讓人覺得你不只是「不失禮」，而是刻意對他人好。
